18 business people attended the November Network Meeting

3 Members delivered very interesting presentations about their businesses, good ideas they have implemented and got suggestions from attendees on challenges they are facing.

The next meeting (Christmas Meeting) will take place on Thursday December 2nd at 6.30pm in Molloy’s Artisan Bakery & Fine Food Emporium

This meeting will have a social theme with informal networking and food & wine tasting in association with local food producers.

Roscommon Business Network, supported by Roscommon County Enterprise Board, held its monthly meeting on Thursday, 7th October at 6pm.

26 business people from across the county attended, together with Johnny Beirne, Network facilitator, Louise Ward and Anne Browne of Roscommon County Enterprise Board.

After the initial one minute introduction by each business person, this month’s keynote speaker, John McGuinness, delivered a 45 minute presentation, with a Q + A taken thereafter. The theme of the presentation was: Public Relations For Your Company. John is the Account Director with Murray Consultants, Strategic Communications + Issues Management.

The topics covered included:

• Debunking PR myths and getting ‘bang for your buck!’
• Getting the PR Tools right.
• Defining your PR audiences.
• Understanding and Engaging with the Media.
• Developing your strategic PR approach.

The information presented was informative and useful to any business person in getting/keeping their name/brand in the public domain and the feed-back has been very positive.

The next meeting will take place at 6.30pm on Thursday, 4th November, in the Fortfield Suite, Abbey Hotel, Roscommon. All business people in County Roscommon are encouraged to attend.
